Thanksgiving...sorry so late!

Sorry I am so late on my Thanksgiving pictures! I still have to post the pictures from the construction for our pool. I figured I'd better do these before I post Christmas pictures.
We did a present exchange with my family. Kaleb loves his helicopter (Stevie gave it to him).

Alex got this jacket from Grandma Jo. She wears it almost everyday to school. It is so soft and fuzzy!
Tristan got this cool army boat (to take into the pool) from Silver. It has been alot of fun!

Here is a picture of all the kids before they opened up their presents.

Alex was helping out...she made Teave fall asleep. She probably misses rocking babies! She was my own personal slave (oops did I say slave)...I mean helper when there was a baby in the house.

Silver overcame his fear of dogs while he was at our house. For the first couple of days...Silver spent every minute looking over his shoulder and listening for the pitter patter of doggie feet. Then finally before the trip was over...he was petting and running around with Giselle. Uncle and Auntie are very proud of him!!!!! Mia was still trying to not be afraid when they left...she was able to pet Giselle as long as someone was with her. We are sooo proud of Mia too!!! We hope that they will remember Giselle when they come and visit us again!!!!

Giselle loved my mom and dad. She wanted to sleep with them. She hopped right into bed with them like she was invited for a sleepover!!

Julie was thrown into the pool for her birthday. The boys (Jason, Silver, and Kaleo) picked her up....kicking and screaming...and wished her a happy birthday during very late hours...and tossed her into a VERY COLD pool during a VERY COLD evening!!!!! All I can say is Julie was a really good sport!!!!! I would have been looking for REVENGE if something like that would have happened to me. I would have transformed into the Incredible Hulk if I was picked up and tossed into the pool!!!!!! (I would have been a P-A-R-T-Y P-O-O-P-E-R) I commend you Julie!

Okay....so we got a babysitter for all the kids and the adults went out. We went bowling and my mom kicked all of our butts!!

Tami also was a GREAT bowler!

Here is my mom (great form)!

Julie (looking pretty instead of an action shot).

Can you believe that my dad is in his 70's (don't worry dad...I didn't say your age exactly). He was a great bowler!

Silver was holding a bowling ball in the air...but the picture made it look like he was dancing (John Travolta style).

Jay in the middle of his PERFECT FORM!

Of course....here I am....I think I had the lowest score!

But look....I still have a smile on my face!

It doesn't look like Terri knocked down any pins (look down the alley way). But she still has a satisfied look on her face because we are having fun!

We went out to dinner for Jewels birthday. We all went out to Lucilles. We had a lot of fun there too!

Okay...so Giselle kept hanging around this corner of the kitchen. This is her corner when she wants treats. Either that or she was eyeing the cinnamin roll box on the counter.

So here is my mom and I putting the turkey into the roaster. Thank goodness she showed up to help me. She had to run to the store and I was left with Julie. No offense Julie but she didn't know how to cook a turkey either. I have cooked them before, but since it is only once a year...I tend to forget.

I had butter hands and it looked like maybe Alex needed a facial mask...so my dad (who loves practical jokes) decided to help hold Alex down. I would not have really rubbed it on her though because the butter was mixed with raw turkey juices...and if you know me very well....you know that I hate raw meat...it makes me dry heave and I have to wash my hands in scalding hot water like 20 times.
Here is me and the turkey...before I started rubbing the butter.

(Don't look at how beautiful I look in the morning) Here I am washing the turkey inside and out. I made Julie stick her hand down the butt area and into the neck area to grab out the gizzard, heart, and neck. She has to do what I say...since I am older! Silver (Terri's husband) made us cook them because he eats them....gross me out the door!!!!

When Silver and Mia got to my house I had all the kids make turkeys for our center peices. They turned out sooo cute. After thanksgiving was over....Giselle jumped up onto the table and devoured them into to peices. So I guess we won't be saving them for next years decorations!

The Morning after the Snow Storm!

Kaleb has a funny look on his face...his gloves were soaking wet! He was trying to give me his gloves.

Alex sledding down neighbors dirveway.

Tristan sledding...practically on just iced cement....snow disappears fast in vegas.

Kaleb sledding.

Tristan chasing Kaleb as he is sledding down a neighbors driveway.

This is our street...can you see that big snowman at the end of the street.

This is what our house looked like the next morning. See how fast the snow melts in Vegas.

This is the snowman that Alex built the morning after the snow storm.

Alex, Tristan, Kaleb, and neighbor girl sledding.Tristan was getting very cold outside. His gloves were wet and he couldn't feel his fingers. The first part of the video is the funny part (where Tristan is throwing a little tantrum).

Christmas Tree Time...and my embarrasing moment at Target!

Our dog decided she was going to eat the things off the Christmas tree. She has already chewed through one string of lights. She has eaten numerous bows with jingle bells (she threw up...and there were 3 jingle bells in in...yuck!) She ate a christmas tree ornament that alex painted when she was little..it was made out of playdough. She also ate a ornament that alex painted when she was little. She is a naughty doggie!!!!!!!!
We got our tree and decorated it. We attempted to take a family photo...but Giselle (our dog) didn't want to cooperate. She kept running out of the picture, so if it looks like I am holding her against her will...I am!

Kids and Giselle.

Just kids.

See Tristan's chin....well I am sure you want to know what happened. Yes, if anyone knows me then you are going to have guess that yes...I fell too. So, me and Tristan go to Target. We are darting between the millions of holiday shoppers and their cars. Tristan is holding my hand right hand and my purse is on my right shoulder. Well...Tristan decides he is going to HOP onto the curb instead of step onto the curb. He stumbled when he came down and then he took me down with him. The next thing I knew it....I was on all fours infront of the Target doors. My purse fell off my shoulder and hit Tristan in the head, his face slammed onto the pavement. Yes....everyone was starring at me and Tristan. A man came running out from inside and said, "are you okay!" (with urgency in his voice). I jumped up and dusted off my pants (that were all dirty) and quickly said, "uh yes!" I did not make any eye contact with anyone. I was sooooo embarresed that I pulled on Tristans arm and we quickly walked to the bathrooms inside Target. I didn't even know that Tristans chin was bleeding until we got into the bathrooms. Tristan had been crying since we fell...but like I said...I jumped back up and tried to get the heck out of there...so that people would stop starring at me. I started laughing when I got back into the bathrooms. We cleaned up T-Dogs chin and then we both stayed in the bathroom for about another 5 minutes. I was sooo embarresed that I was waiting for the crowd that saw us fall...to be well inside of Target doing their shopping. I just knew that someone was going to see us inside and start laughing and pointing saying, "hey there's that woman and kid that fell outside." Why, why, why do I always get the embarrasing falls happen to me!!! Who knows! Tristan's friends at school asked what happened to his chin. He told them that only he fell, because it would be more embarrasing to him...if he told them that his mom fell with him. Anyway...there's my story.

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow....in Vegas?

This is absolutely crazy! This is the most snow that they have had since 1979! It is all over the news. They even cancelled school tomorrow because Las Vegas is not equiped with snow plows...since they don't usually need them. Yeah!!! What wonderful news!!! We had so much fun playing outside in the snow, but Tristan wouldn't come out. He said that it was too cold and he just wanted to play on the computer. I finally got him to come out and go down the sled once...I tried to video but my hands were soooo frozen that my fingers couldn't even turn on the camera.
This is what Jason's head looked like after he was done cleaning up the tree branch that fell...because of the snow.

Jason enjoying himself in the snow.

Look at all the snow on the ground.

Here is the tree branch that broke off the tree because the snow was too heavy.

More pictures of what it looked like outside. Can you believe this is Vegas!

Here is the tree branch hanging down...after it almost snapped off completely.

Jason left his soda outside...so Tristan had to go and get it for him (he thought shorts were the appropriate attire after he was done playing in the snow...I told him to wear warm cozy clothes...and this is what he comes out with.

This is as far as I got Tristan to come out. It was too cold and he would rather play on the computer.

See the snow on the palm tree and how thick it is on the table and palm trees.

A picture of one side of our yard.

Here is the other side.

Yes....surprise......we do have a pool!! We decided to not tell anyone of our family and we surprised them at Thanksgiving. Since now we are obviously telling people about the pool...we will blog the picutres of it being dug up. You will have to give me some time. I am trying to put current and slightly old pictures up first.

Alex and Kaleb sliding down the hill.

Me and Jay staying cozy together in the snow!

Me and Alex...posing so that you can see our snowy street (behind us).

This is Grace and her mom, Kari.

Us again...and Jay in the background...talking on the phone for work.

Jason took his foot and printed our last name in the snow.

More snow pictures!

Here is the side and part of the front of our yard.

More pictures of the street.

Grace and Alex built a snowan.

Look at our tree....it is spliting down the middle. Our poor vegas trees...they aren't made for snow.

One more picture. I know....we are crazy for all the pictures!

Kaleb wanted to be in the picture of the snowman that they built.

Alex and Grace sliding down our neighbors driveway. Pay attention when the video is ending. Right when I stopped the video...she totally fell on her face getting off the sled. hehe
