Leave a Memory!!

Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on our blog, leave one memory that you and I or anyone in my family (me, Jason, Alex, Tristan, or Kaleb) had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me (us) a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me or someone in our family, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :) If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

What Am I Going To Do With Kaleb?

Heaven help me!! My daughter is at Disney Land with a friend, so here I am with my boys. In the last 3 days this is what my sweet, innocent child has been up to...

Sunday...Kaleb was downstairs minding his own business, while I was upstairs trying to help my husband, who is worse than a girl, find a shirt to wear to church...the monster, oops I mean Kaleb, decided to take a black permanent marker and color on the palm of his hand and on my couch (in several spots). He tried to hide the marker under the couch. Of course it wasn't him that did it...but the proof was on the palm of his hand. Becky, my mother in law, desperately tried to scrub it before Jason (his unconditionally loving dad) came downstairs.

Monday...Tristan and Kaleb were playing with the Wii when Tristan asked Kaleb to go get some baby wipes so that they could clean the disk. So Kaleb....who never gets distracted by anything, found the Desitin sitting beside the babywipes. He completely forgot about the babywipes and took the Desitin instead. He took it out to the tv room and squeezed it out...all over the remote, my carpet, the banister, his fingers. I caught him hiding in the corner with it. It scared me becasue I thought he put it in his mouth. I asked him if he knew what it was for and he said, "yes, for your butt!" as he laughed. I scrubbed everything and now my carpet has giant white spots where the desitin won't come out....because it was designed to be water resistant...imagine that!

Tuesday...the phone rang while the boys were eating lunch. I answered it and it was my landscaper. I tried to discuss a few thing with him when my boys started to be really noisey...so I stepped into the toy closet and shut the door. Suddenly Tristan starts screaming and trying to come into the toy closet. I was almost done with the phone call...so I held the door shut (the entire phone call lasted maybe 3 1/2 minutes). I opened the door and Macaroni and Cheese was everywhere. I was not my best at this moment. Kaleb had thrown the macaroni everywhere...on the kitchen floor, in the book shelf, under the table, on the carpet by the toy closet door. The reason why Tristan started screaming was because Tristan was trying to tell me what was happening so....he came over and started spitting the macaroni on him (infront of the door). I made him pick every last peice up. Then to test me a little more he tried rubbing it on my kitchen wall as he looked up at me. Unconditional love you say.... Boy did I have to count to ten. So, yes!! I put him on the counter and put a tiny drop of "Consequence Juice (tabasco sauce)" on his tongue. Then of course I feel bad, so after I talk about his actions I give him a glass of milk and make him go brush his teeth to get the taste out of his mouth. Then made him continue to pick up the mess. He behaved the rest of the day! Let's hope nothing happends today!!! Here is a video of how much energy they have and how silly they are. Watch for Kaleb's solo boogey. Obviously this was taken when Alex was here since she is in the background and she is actually at Disney Land right now. Don't forget to pause the music and turn up the volume. Enjoy!

Ode to Tami! The Top 20 (I know you'd love more)

I must say that my family is quite needy!!! I guess we all feel the need to be told that we love them publically!! I was also informed that all I said about Tami (on my Provo trip) was that I spent time with her. I had a request to say....WHY I LOVE TAMI (i am sure Terri you will be next to ask)....so here it is:
1. Because she is my sister (blood of course)
2. Because she is the one that everyone says I look the most like :)
3. I can talk to her about anything forever and she never gets bored
4. She gives me clothes....thank goodness!
5. She asks me for advice about school stuff (teaching)....and then actually tries what I told her to try.
6. She will take all my kids clothes....as my kids grow out of them so that I can ooh and ahh over how cute they look in them
7. She lets me come down and stay at her house every time I go on break from school (and doesn't complain about how long my kids terrorize her house and cupboards)
8. She sets up my hair appointments for me (with her awesome friend Nicole) who lives in cedar and then she comes with me to the appointments
9. She will listen to me vent about anything (work, kids, husbands..come on we all do it, diets, clothes, money, decision making, decorating my house, etc....)
10. We both try and figure out why our boys (kaleb and elijah do the things they do)
11. She is my cheerleader for anything that I want to accomplish
12. She is great at giving me whatever inspirational speech I need (I wonder if she has them written down on paper and just pulls them out of a drawer and reads the one that I need to hear)
13. I can tease her about things without her getting mad...like when she was in a Princess Pagent, or when she busts out in song like Cinderella, Snow White, or our mom, or when she use to pull her socks clear up to her knees, or when she had her first kiss right infront of me, this could go on forever too) OR how she can laugh at herself when she does embarrasing things in public like I do (honk at people she thinks she knows, strikes up conversations with people who she thought was someone else, waves at strangers because she thought it was her friend and it was not, gets things caught in her teeth and still continues to smile at everyone, I could go on and on....)
14. Always visits me or attempts to visit me...if she steps foot in vegas
15. She falls asleep anywhere.....just like I do....especially infront of the tv watching stupid shows that i like to watch
16. Makes me healthy meals when I come to visit her (because she knows I am trying to stay within my weight watchers points)
17. Doesn't get bored when we just sit around and talk....while our kids are tearing apart the house or backyard
The last 3 reasons come from my kids because....I love Tami because she loves and cares for my kids! So here's what they said:
18. Tristan says, "I love Tami because she gives desserts after dinner that his mom doesn't give." (He's full of it....like he is deprived of desserts at our house, but thats his perception right?)
19. Kaleb says, "I love Tami because she makes me breakfast." (like I don't feed him?)
20. Alex says, "I love Tami because she lets us watch a movie late at night or lets us fall asleep infront of the TV and my mom doesn't." (Auntie gets to be the nice one right?)

Important Information From the Provo Trip

I have been informed by my little sister Julie that I forgot to mention her in my blog about Provo. I am soooooo sorry!!! In my defense...I was falling asleep at the computer the night I typed alot of the info about the trip and if anyone knows me well they know that I do not do well at night when I am tired!! I could fall asleep standing up!! I did spend alot of time with my good lil sis Julie. We had fun at the hospital when Terri was in labor. We had fun messing around with new ring tones for our phones. There are 2 free websites for ring tones. We stayed up till 2:00 in the morning finding fun ring tones. We hung out at Terri's alot. She helped me at bed time with the kids (when she wasn't acting like a kid herself) hehe! She met us at the parade and she squished me in the car (on my lap) hehe! We went swimming at her apartments. Also...bless her heart because she took on all the kids at her house for a sleepover. She gave Cinderella (me) a break for a night. Terri and I dropped the kids off with McDonalds and icecream and said, "see ya!" Then the next morning I went and picked my kids and Terri's kids. We love you Julie for helping us that night!! Anyway, I needed to add this part to my blog. If Tami is reading this...maybe you need to read over it carefully so you can tell me what I forgot to say about you (don't be too mean to me)! Remember I was sleepy when I typed the first blog about Provo. I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!!!

Pictures from Provo trip...

My comments about this whole trip are at the bottom of all these pictures. So don't forget to take the time to read them!!! Everyday around the same time....Mia and Kaleb would find a place to fall asleep. It was always in the most unusual positions.
Here is Kaleb with his sparkler. I was a little scared with the fire in his hands. They were pretending their sparklers were magic wands....like in Harry Potter. They were doing all kinds of spells on people.
Here is Alex with her magic wand (sparkler).
Here is Tristans. I made him pose for this picture because he was so tired that he went inside and told me he wanted to go to bed. (what kind of kid says he wants to go to bed? On the 4th of July? That's my T-Dog!

After the parade.
We walked down to the big swing that is behind my sister's house. It was fun!
A family photo infront of a big tree that the kids kept climbing (behind Terri's house).
Tristan decided to climb that tree...when I wasn't looking. It freaked me out when I turned around and saw him clear up in the tree.
Suddenly all of my kids think that they are experienced climbers. Kaleb kept falling down the tree as he climbed. I thought that I was going to be picking a million slivers out.

A family shot at the water park.
A kid shot at the water park....except I added my very pregnant friend Cindy in the picture.
Another shot of the kids. I was trying to get everyone looking at the camera.
This was at the 4th of July parade.
Tristan has a messy face because he was eating an icecream sandwich at the parade.

One of the games all the kids would play was dress up. Kaleb was a PowerRanger and he played so hard that he fell asleep in the costume.
This a picture of Kaleb's upper left shoulderblade. This is what happends when you walk infront of a 4 seater swing that is loaded up with kids! He walked infront of it (alex says that somehow he ended up under it when all was said and done.) His head hurt, his shoulder hurt, his neck hurt, and he looked a little pale. So my mom checked him out and then we just watched him carefully. The red mark looked like a burn. It almost looked like he had been branded by the swing. That mark lasted days. How do you teach kids to not walk infront of a fast moving object?
Alex playing in the water at the water park (Veterans Memorial Water Park).
Silver and Mia a the water park.
Alex helping Kaleb out of the water because they had called their regular...out of the water safety checks. That is a ton of kids to drag out of the water kicking and screaming...for their safety checks. I wouldn't want to be a life guard at that moment.

This picture was taken behind a glass window. Teave had to be on in the nursury for a while because of low blood pressure (on an IV) and had some respiratory issues.
This is Teave sleeping on Terri's chest. She made me promise to not get her in the picture.
Another cute picture of him sleeping on Terri's chest. I thought that it looked like he had Popeye muscles in his arms (without his shirt on).
He always looked so cute when he would open his eyes and look at all of us.
Teave's little arms just go everywhere so Terri put his mittens on so that he won't scratch himself...but to me they are his little puching gloves.

Here are the pictures from my Provo trip. Remember I took them with my camera phone and so they aren't the best. Some of them are kinda fuzzy! Now...the ones of baby Teave are so cute. Terri and I had a great experience together when her water broke at home and Silver was not home. I am sure Terri will blog about it, but so will I. She didn't know if she went pee in her pants or if her water broke. That is a whole story in itself. I timed her contractions till we finally got a hold of Silver at work and then they were about 1 minute apart. My cousin Dawn was such a sweetie!! She came and slept at Terri's with all the kids so I could be at the hospital with her. Most of her hard labor was done in the middle of the night. She had the baby at 6:41 am (on my husbands birthday...June 28th). After watching Terri's epidural and Teave's birth...I decided that having 3 kids was just enough!!!! Anyway...everyone that was there to watch was me, Tami, Julie, mom, dad, and obviously Terri and Silver. Anyway....here are the pictures of Teave and some other fun times.

Just Call Me Cinderella!!

So as you know I went to my sister Terri's house to help her out when the baby came. I had so much fun while I was there. I know that I joke that I was Cinderella, but that is okay!!! That is exactly why I went down there. I wanted to help! It was finally my turn to give back! So, the kids had a blast playing with their cousins everyday. Of course the kids got really good at apologies!! I knew that I wouldn't beable to have an apology free trip. Overall...the kids got along. Terri made sure that Mia was potty trained before I got there because she did not want to hear the wrath of me. I had given Mia a couple packages of underwear and kept asking Terri if she was wearing them. A little bird told me that she wasn't...so Terri got busy pretty fast with Mia's potty training right before I came. She kept telling Mia..."Auntie Jaimee will be so proud of you", but what she really was saying was..."you better learn this before Jaimee gets here or else I am dead!" (Just Joking Terri...i love you) Anyway, I had spent time with my mom and dad, Tami/Kaleo and her kids and my good friends Cindy and Greg. I think our kids played in their swim suits everyday!! By the time we left my kids were as brown as Terri's kids are naturally! Hehe! We brought our WII down and everyone including my mom and dad played it!! Silver came with me and we took the kids to the Verterans Memorial water park (along with Cindy and her kids). We also attended the 4th of July Parade. My kids had so much fun. I don't think Kaleb and Tristan have really seen parades (other than Disney Land) because Vegas doesn't really have them. Alex use to see them in Cedar all the time. We did fireworks and BBQ. There was so many funny things that happened while we were there....it would take forever to blog all of it! So I took some pictures with my camera phone (so they aren't very good). However...it won't let me post pictures so I will try and post them later.

Front Yard Renovations, Day 8

Colums are being prepped for the stone.
Boy, look at the trash. And they already hauled some away.
New plum tree added in the front yard. We love this tree type.
New side gate. The one on the right/matching our neighbors.
Pillars in progress.
Look at the stone under the steps. COOL!
It's moving fast and starting to look good.
Landscaping around the patio.
It will look better the more it grows.
