Front Yard Renovations

Our front yard is being renovated this week. They say it will take about 3 weeks to get it done but they are moving fast. Jason is posting this blog today. I know most of you expect Jaimee to do this; she is much better at it but I have nothing to do and I am extremley bored because Jaimee is out of town with the kids missing the destruction of our property; which actually is pretty good because our boys would just cause more destruction if they were home. Enjoy and I will post more when they destroy and hopefully build more.
Do you think I need to clean the yard?

What we see from our front door
Our future steps. They will look good when they are done.
Trash building up after day 2. Part shrubs part walkway.
The front yard in the beginning.
Demo Day 1
The mess; what a mess.
There's a whole, a whole, a whole in the bottom of my yard.
What happened to my walkway: Demo Day 2.

Family Hike at Red Rock

We woke the kids up one morning and told them we had a surprise. We got them dressed and went and ate McDonalds and then we went up to Red Rock to go hiking. Alex hadn't been there for years and Tristan and Kaleb hadn't ever been there, so this was exciting and fun. It is now one of our favorite places to go, as a family!

Unusual Things Kids Discover

The funniest thing happened the other day when I was helping Kaleb get his pajamas on, after his shower. I helped him put on his underwear, when all of a sudden he discovered "the hole" in boys underwear. He has been wearing underwear since he was 1 1/2 and he is just discovering this! He was upset at first....because there was a "hole". I said, "honey...it is suppose to be there." He said, "why?" (with the funniest look on his face) I thought to myself...where is Jason? Why do I have to try and explain this. I know that this is a very minor discussion, but I know I probably stumbled over my words. Anyway, so I proceded to explain to him that he could pee through that hole...instead of pulling his pants down. He looked at me, with his eyes open as wide as he could, as he tried to pull "it" through the hole. When he successful pulled it through the hole, he looked up at me....still with his eyes open as wide as he could and said, "Cool!" Now each time he has to pee, he asks permission to use "the hole" in his underwear. Everytime he asks...I die laughing!!!!! Kids are sooooo funny!!!!

Kaleb doing a pouty face (he must have learned it from his Aunt Terri)

Kaleb was watching Tristan's soccer game and he was upset about something. (who knows what?) Don't forget to pause the music before you play each movie.

Tristan's Soccer....Go Tigers!

Please don't judge my son when you watch this. Tristan has the number 1 on the back of his shirt. You might need to watch it more than once to figure out what exactly happened. Tristan's side of the story is that this other kid pushed him first and he was just getting him back. (He waited for his chance and then he took it!) Then the other part of the video is him playing and doing this funny windmill effect with his arm.

Picking his butt (cousin Andrew) during the game...

Andrew had this issue with his pants! Then after watching him and laughing...Andrew gets upset after not getting the ball then Kaleb gets excited about getting a ball and he comes up and talks to the camera. Hopefully you can understand what he says! So watch the whole thing.

Kaleb's baseball humor!

Okay,
Here is Kaleb hitting the ball, running to first base, then making faces, till he runs home and into the dug out! He's a funny kid!

Happy Birthday and Father's Day Dad!!!

My dad is quite lucky!!! His birthday falls on Father's Day quite often. I just wanted to take a moment to tell my dad how much I love him!!! He is a great dad and grandpa to my kids. I remember all the fun we would have growing up. All the practical jokes we would play on each other!! I have many wonderful memories of my dad growing up. Thanks for being a good example to me and for teaching me many life lessons. I am a better person because of you!! I love you dad!! Here is a little movie to watch. Don't forget to pause the music on the blog before you play the movie. Make sure your volume is turned up on the computer!!! This is from your grand kids and also Taylor and Andrew wanted to sing to you to. ENJOY!!

Father's Day Fun!

We are having a fun Father's Day! The kids made him a crown and some other fun crafts! Jason's mom sent us to a hotel for the weekend and she watched our kids so that we could relax and enjoy some time together! We spent Friday and Saturday night at Green Valley Ranch. Kaleb wanting to be on camera for any reason....(remember to pause the music playing)

Check out new info!

I changed some of the side items on our blog. I put new pictures in some areas and I also changed one of the categories. I also updated the info in our bio. I am slowly posting. Today was fun, I enjoyed lunch with friends, shopped in the mall, and other clothes stores without my children. Alex went with her friend Grace (almost all day), and T-Dog and Kaleb had their last day at school. It was pajama day. Tristan wore his Sponge Bob PJ's and Kaleb wore his Incredible Hulk PJ's. (I went and bought them new PJ's to wear for today). Then we went to the park and played with some friends right after school. There were people starring at us. I think it was because our kids had pajamas on in the late afternoon. A couple of us from school went so it was more than just us there. I wanted to yell..."what....it was pajama day at school". Anyway, here is a couple pictures of the boys in their pajamas. They are excited that school is NOW OUT!!! Here is also a picture of Alex (she bought this cute hat with some of the money she earned from hitting the ball in softball...that's a whole story in its self)

My darling, innocent Kaleb (who never gets into anything)

Lately for a treat, I had been eating sugar free jello with whipcream and strawberries.....well Kaleb would watch me fix it and then beg for bites the whole time. One day when I was watching American Idol ,that I recorded and he knew I would zone out, Kaleb decided to make himself a treat....in the corner. He got out a bowl, a spoon, the whipcream, and the strawberries. However, he scooped half the container of whipcream into his bowl and put in ONE strawberry. When I caught him he said, "I was fixin' a snack....where's the other fruit?" He acted like he had a halo around his head. He thought he was doing nothing wrong, because he is a big boy and big boys can fix their own snacks. Kaleb is like a dog. He hides things behind the massage chair. Usually it is food. Some of the items that I frequently find behind the chair are: open soup cans (the kind with the pop lid), spoons, box of malt-o-meal (what is he going to do with that), cracker box, empty wrappers, cheese, yogurt containers (empty), candy wrappers (usually candy he stole from his older sister), chips, Cheeze Its, or anything that he doesn't want anyone to take from him. If anyone is missing something...that is the first place we all go look. So, I was very surprised when I found him in a different corner with his snack. He tried to climb on the counter and hide on the side of the fridge that you can't see from the living room. Maybe he is realizing he needs a new spot.

I'm Free!!

Yesterday was the last day of school for me and Alex. Kaleb and Tristan don't get out till Friday, June 6th. Sooooo, I get two days of freedom. Alex and I are doing girl things for the next two days. We actually went out to lunch and then went shopping (without the boys!!!) (Whoo Hoo!) Don't get me wrong....I love my boys, however it was nice to go shopping and out to lunch without saying, "stop it!!" every 2 seconds. So finally I can post some pictures. I have a bunch of pictures to post and they will probably be out of order because I saved some pictures on my flash drive and then tried to transfer them to one of my computers and somehow they have disappered. When I find them I will post them. I packed up my classroom because we are moving into a brand new building for next year. Our building has sooo many roaches and spiders that I spent half of my packing time screaming...standing on tables....throwing boxes....spraying Raid....and yelling at bugs that have no idea what I am saying!! I went through a whole can of Raid!! Yuck!! I will be very happy to move into a new building. Our building was 53 years old. Frequently we smelled sewer in our room. Doesn't it sound like a great place to be :) Actually....it was the best place to be. I never want to leave my school....our new building that is. Tristan is going to come to my school next year for Kindergarten. I get to pick his teacher for next year. I am excited that I could a zone variance for him. Then when he gets into 1st grade I will move him onto Alex's school...the one we are zoned for (in our neighborhood.) Anyway, Yeah!!! I am done with school!!!
